A Realtor’s Take on ’twas the Night Before Christmas
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the town,
Realtors were working, in hopes of a renown.
The contracts were signed, with care and delight,
In hopes that the closings would go smooth that night.
The buyers were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of dream homes danced in their heads.
And my partner in real estate, with clipboard in hand,
Had just finished staging the perfect home in demand.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my desk to see what was the matter.
Away to the window, I flew in a dash,
Tore open the blinds and threw up the sash.
The moon on the snow made the ground sparkle bright,
And the for-sale signs twinkled, what a marvelous sight!
When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a moving truck, filled with joy and good cheer.
With a driver so lively, a salesman so spry,
I knew in a moment it must be nearby!
“Now, buyers! Now, sellers! Now, downsize and rightsize!
Move to your new homes, and let’s make them wise!”
To the top of the market, to the best of the deals,
Now let’s find the dream home where everyone heals!
On the app, on the website, on your phone, it’s all there,
All the listings to make you say, “This is where I’ll declare!”
So with paperwork signed and keys passed with care,
The homeowners moved in, a new life to prepare.
And as I walked home with my work nearly done,
I smiled and thought, “The season’s just begun.”
For whether you’re buying, or selling, or downsizing to fit,
The dream of a home always makes us commit.
So here’s to new journeys, to homes that we cherish,
Merry Christmas to all—may your dream home never perish!
