In this episode, I speak with Kimberly Truax, founder of Bellaire Residential Assisted Living and Memory Care. Kimberly discovered her passion for senior care 30 years ago as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). With over 14 years of experience in various roles, including Assistant Administrator, Administrator, and Executive Director for Assisted Living communities, she founded Kind Companions 23 years ago and Bellaire Residential Assisted Living and Memory Care. Kimberly holds certifications as a state Certified Assisted Living Manager (CALM), a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP), and a Vibrational Sound Practitioner (VSP), promoting holistic healing. Before Bellaire, she established Kind Companions, a renowned home care provider in Denton.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Kimberly is a devoted mother to her 11-year-old son, Billy, and a Siamese cat named Luna. She actively participates in various associations, including the American Business Women’s Association and the National Association for Business Women. Passionate about mentorship and empowering young women to pursue entrepreneurship, she also contributes her time and expertise to team-building initiatives and has served on the Denton Animal Support Foundation board for the past 12 years, advocating for the welfare of abandoned animals.
